Generally

Romania is located in southeastern Europe between the northern latitudes 43 ° 37'07 "and 48 ° 15'06" and east longitude 20 ° 15'44 "and 29 ° 41'24" with an area of about 480 km from north -south direction and 640 km from east to west. The country covers an area of 237,500 square kilometers, and about 23 million inhabitants comprise 89% of Romanians, 7% Hungarians, 2% Roma and Sinti small minority of Germans, Ukrainians, Serbs, Slovaks, Turks, Russians, Croats, Tartars, Czechs, Greeks, Jews, Armenians, Poles, Albanians, Bulgarians. Language

Climate
The climate is temperate - continental, typical of Central Europe, with hot summers, cold winters, distinct seasons and plenty of snow, especially in the mountains. The warmest areas are in the south. The average annual rainfall of 677 mm in the mountains more (1000 to 1400 mm) and on the coast (less than 400 mm).

Clothing
Apart from normal seasonal clothes, you should always pack a warm sweater, a raincoat and solid walking shoes. For the winter warm clothing is highly recommended. However, textiles in Romania are inexpensive, so you can buy additional pieces as needed.

Bucharest airport

Regular scheduled and charter flights of Romanian Airlines (Tarom), and branches of foreign airlines (Delta, Air France, Lufthansa, Alitalia, Swissair, etc.) connect Bucharest to the biggest airports in the world. International airports in Romania are Bucharest-Otopeni, Constanta-Mihail Kogalniceanu and Timisoara (Timisoara). The international airport at Otopeni Bucuresti (Bucharest) is located 18 km from the city center. In the city you can reach with the airport buses or taxis. In the latter case it is advisable to agree before the start of the journey with the driver about the price. On request you can book a travel agency for many a cheap transfer from the airport to various destinations.

Credit Cards
American Express, Diners Club, JCB International, Euro Master Card and VISA are accepted at most hotels and at the rental companies as well as in some restaurants. However, one should ask first.

Cars
Your travel agent you can book a rental car with unlimited mileage or with individual mileage logs. Ask also for car with a driver, since this offered the most interesting prices.
